Rcd your cable of 20th [in code]; notified by bank today they've cabled you "$3000. Trouble with different sizes of bedplates for Porter and A&S engines & lack complete drawings; if use this bedplate the shaft would be too short so things at standstill for C dynamos. Need complete scaled drawing of dynamo couple to A&S engines. Will need 4 machines soon for lighting grand opera. Also please send recipe for making gold plating solution for the C machs, also 2 Sturtevant blowers, 2 cylinder oilers. Just arranged to furnish 1200 lights at Strasbourg rwy station. Must begin making meters; pls send blueprint of each size. Pls send accurate statement of all material delivered to end of 1882. Hired new oiler for lamp factory, who kindly oiled the inside of mercury pumps. Our order for pump glass was enough for 5,000 pumps but you only sent for 500 pumps; can't work with so few of them. thanks for new material and recipe for sockets; will expt.
