- There is a very serious fault in your K and I machines which I presume y ou hve remedied ere now. I find nearly all of them have it. The cap that screws on the commutator to hold the bars tight projects over the end of the body of commutator." No problem when turning right way, but will unscrew if reversed. Also, "I notice if we put one of your shafts in lathe to turn a commutator they are frightfully out of truth. How is this?"
