Eaton's annotated copy of Agreement executed in Berlin (with supplement same date). Refers to Continental Co. contract with German bankers for exploitation of light in German Empire. This agreement is promise of Siemens & Halske not to contest Edison patents, in return for right to manufacture articles under those German pats. Royalty from Siemens & Halske lighting installations to be based on HP consumed in lighting; also a royalty as percentage of sale price of lamps S&H mfg under license; S&H to have discount in purchasing lamps from Edison. Provisions about min/max lamp retail prices. Edison parties renounce mfg rights to lamps, sockets, commutators, steam engines, etc. Supplement specifically permits Edison parties to fulfill exisiting contract with Ungerer & Schulze in Alsace.
