Title
[D8337ZBD], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Thomas Alva Edison, April 10th, 1883
Editor's Notes
Found some lamps made in Germany that infringe TAE's patents. "I found they would stand any candle power and in the 1/2 doz I broke I noticed that in all the carbon was intact and not even blackened." Thinks that we should follow up on this, since the lamps are pretty good and he has not yet taken out a patent on them. Also Germany has just slapped an 8ct import duty on lamps, which "will kill my little negotiation toward having all come from America at present"
