Title
[D8337ZDN], Letter from Joshua Franklin Bailey to Thomas Alva Edison, August 10th, 1883
Editor's Notes
"I have sent Eaton a long letter yesterday and a skeleton of a plan for an Int'l Society . I will be here for two weeks for Mr. Rau to take his vacation amd get a complete plan for the Inten'l Company You see a letter about the figures for the Central Station balance sheet which shows a loss which is better than silence.# the balance sheet comes with an exact statement of the number of dynamos in operation at diifernent periods all of which you know about. I find that the company is financially sound and he talks about the investment of the shareholders and the profits of the International Company .Mentions all countries # It was unfortunate that it was neccesary to make the arrangement with Swan in England before the Contintental affair is made up. Everyone here is agreed about the above points and it is only a question of the whether the company will have the principle seat in Paris or London Mr. Leonis working inParis while I work in London to achieve the best results . Tae marginalia " don't believe in London or Paris might do 3 not come "
