Title
[D8337ZEI], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Thomas Alva Edison, September 19th, 1883
Editor's Notes
Cable our fibre prices received and handed to Societe. I also attended to Cable regarding the meeting for 24 September. Have represented your case strongly before Rau about Italian engines. Lieb apparently told Colombo that feeder regulators were worthless and could not be used and used no such thing in NY . Want to persuade our people here to use two 500 lights and a Porter Allen instead of a C. I have altered a Z to give 180 lamps "very easy." Diagram with calculations regarding lamps and Dymamos and Armature wire length and reistance. "I have altered all the I dynamos we had commenced to give 1650 rpm instead of 2200 which is a speed which gives no satisfaction in the hands of the public."
