- Thanks for yours of 20th. Was very ill on return voyage from NY. Things here went to the devil while I was away. Capt. Shaw is pulling his shares out and "there is a pretty wholesome funk established all around." We must have from TAE as quickly as possible the nature of his improvements, as the "cry for relief and amalgamation has grown into a scream." Think I'm the only one in all England with full confidence in future of the Co., but think I can get Edison's program accepted in a week or 10 days.
