- Editor's Notes
- Thanks for your letter, written soon after White's arrival there, saying the difficulties between you and the English Co no longer stand in the way. Have gotten a "happy and hopeful" description from White of affairs in US. Our affairs are discouraging, but White counsels patience. Must impress on you the urgency with which we need your assistance. Please dispatch ASAP the new inventions which we hear will allow us to compete with gas. Glad you can dispose of the big dynamos you made for us; hope you'll sell them soon for us and put proceeds to our credit. Thanks for your advice and suggestions.
