Mr. Bayley? will prepare memorandum for conduct of ship business. No objection to the continental Co "getting the prestige of the ships belonging to their nationality provided we get the profit if we do the work and obtain the business." Parliamentary committee biz: "after a great fight we are through the house of commmons and come on before the house of lords tonight. We have parted with a strip of St James parish to the Telegraph Constr Co, and they've dropped their opposition in House of Lords. Heard privately that TAE's exptl 600 light machine broke down completely. Negotiations with Swan now in abeyance; TAE's excellent letter of 27th being considered by boards.
