- LH: City Hotel / AJ Roe & Son, Proprs, Piqua, OH ## worked hard today and will finish tonight, many men in Ohio knowledgable and interested in electricity (unlike PA), including editor at Piqua Leader who thinks Edison System superior and has investors ready, wrote Stuart ## many "bitter anti-gas men", including Connover (owner of Opera House and half owner of gas co formerly, "is an enthusiast in this scheme", also has many contacts "Between the two sets Mr Shaw will have a fat thing" ## WP Orr, Pres of city council and ownder of paper mill says if contract rushed, he will not renew gas one for street lighting ## afraid Maxim will "reap the harvest by rights ours", calls for "immediate action"
