[D8367Y2], Telegram from Samuel Insull to Alfred Ord Tate, July 5th, 1883

Editor's Notes

Regarding the need for TAE to repsond to Insull about the request for an additional canvassers. TAE has not yet replied to Insull's request. Insull stated that the work is considerable getting ahead of thier ability in the office and they need more canvassors to satisfy our agents. The business as of the last three weeks justify the need for an additonal man. They also require an additional map man. The Erie map is finshed but one must be made for St. Paul Renovo and Bellefonte. The canvasses will be arriving in the next feww days. There are maps from Elysville, Utica and Erie that need to be red-lined by TAE so that the maps can go to Menlo. Insull also would like to know what to do regarding the regulators and the switches for the Louisville Exposition. Insull is anxiously awaitng TAE return that he states that he is afraid the plaster will grow so horribly thick that it will be set hard in our stomachs. In addition he has an order from the London Company two engines for the Criteroin Theatre, Sims will ship them before August. The Isolated company sent an order for 100 light machines. London company sent a remittance for the two engines they ordered. Eaton is on holiday, Brewster has returned from St. Loius. Moore is going to Providnece to see his engines. Insull is extremely unhappy with Hanington's work lack of productivty and his handling of men.
