- Title
- [D8372B], Letter from Western Edison Light Co, George Harrison Bliss to Thomas Alva Edison, April 9th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- Have talked with Talbott, secy of Railway Exhibition to open in Chicago in June, about the Western Edison exhbiting light: "I find that nearly all the prominent electric light companies in the country intend doing so, including the Swan and Maxim." Talbott also asked about your electric rwy; expect several applications, but he is willing to give you the best location. May be able to defray Erwy costs and break even, but the Chicago Co can't do it alone----need cooperation from NYC. TAE marg: "They out to put in a new K [dynamo] but havent time to do anything on RR now." [letter encloses oversize plan of chicago exhibition]
