- [D8373Y], Letter from Fred Catlin to Thomas Alva Edison, December 10th, 1883
- Editor's Notes
- He read with much interest Johnsons letter to the Times He covers the subject completely and floors Prof Morton at every step and he confines himself to the facts. It it a grave matter to decieve the public on this important subject. The fusion of ordinary electrical knowlede knows the laws of electical distribution and will put the dangerous dynamic fluid conductirs under ground, Examples of electrical distribtuibn present themselves to Catlin everday. He goes on to explain electircal concepts He closes the letter with that he is looking every day for illustration of the law of electrical distribution that will be convincing to the non believers. TAE marginalia " My Dear Catlin =yours recd. Johnson is fixing up hose and a Dynamo giving 2000 volts to give an exhibition he has measured the water stream and finds it about 850 ihms 21/2 inch section per foot E " Another sentence of the marginalia is overstruck.
