- [written from Worcester] Sorry not to see you at "Bay State" twice on Friday. Thinking others had carried you off, I missed the exhibition Friday morning, but learned from Prof Smith that you had "a breathing spell from receptions." Asks for "baby lamps" (1 cp). TAE marg: "My dear Upham, I expect if they put through the Worcester Co to come on when I shall have more time. There were but few baby lamps made & they are all gone; we expect soon to make some more when I will send you one.
