- Title
- [D8403ZID], Letter from George Frederick Barker to Thomas Alva Edison, October 26th, 1884
- Editor's Notes
- Regarding arrangements for Lord Rayleigh to visit Pearl St. See Tribune article about troubles of your companies; "as a friend of yours and a stockholder, I am sorry at this collision. If you win, your capitalists are alienated; and if they win you are disaffected." Regretfully notice that Lowrey and Eaton are left off both you slate and the compromise slate. Eaton is entitled to greater consideration than this and should be kept on board, at least for his legal ability (especially as the Co is about to start infringement suits). Ditto Lowrey. Is Chinnock really up to it? Don't see that those coming in are any better businessmen than those now leaving.
