- We rec;d your lettter of the 8th about laying claim before the board of directors. We trust it will meet with your approval and change in settlement at an early date. In reagrd to your bet which we decline to take, as we never put up money on a sure thing, we can assure you that an antagonistic position towards us is not ar all in accordance with our feelings toward the shamokin Co. We have done everything we can do to make your plant work properly, we have given you a new engine without extra cost and if it is not working we will give you another at the same price. We are sending you new lamps for the broken ones as a New Years present. We are also going to supply with new style indicators which are just about perfected and show you what candle power you are running and it reduce breakage. We are making improvements which you will benefit from.
