Title
[D8416AKV], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Armington and Sims, Miller F Moore, February 6th, 1884
Editor's Notes
[persistent engine governing problem; this sounds like written by Insull] "I have your favor of 5th inst, and regret very much that neither you nor Mr Sims can assist us to get rid of the troubles which you say we do not look for, but which you claim you have failed to find the cause for. The conundrum is: why does your governor stick? Neither you nor Mr Sims nor anybody else has ever given us an answer to this, although at various times one or the other of you have undertaken to do so. Until we get a satisfactory answer, we shall continue to write letters, as it is not our business to give you the solution of difficulties in connection with your engine which even the makers and inventors are unable to explain satisfactorily."
