Title
[D8416AOJ], Letter from Samuel Insull to William Lloyd Garrison, Jr., February 16th, 1884
Editor's Notes
In our estimate for Natick, omission of a spare engine, which you consider unsafe practice, was deliberate. Plant calls for running 125 hp engine at less than 95hp, taxing it very lightly. "In regard to your remark that you do not care to talk single engine we would say that we can give ample proof that the places where we have had trouble with engines have been where duplicates, or so-called dubplicates have been installed." They just cause trouble and require attention.
