- "The report of Mr. Andrews undoubtedly accounts for the heavy breakage at Shamokin. It is owing partly to the irregular running of the engines, but in my opinion mainly to the fact that they have no good indicators to indicate volts, and consequently they may be very badly out as far as candle power is concerned. Mr. Doubleday who has been at Sunbury for this last week has been ordered to Shamokin and I have not the least doubt, but what we shall hear good reports from him in the course of a few days."
