Title
[D8416BNF], Letter from Samuel Insull, Edison Machine Works to Gustav Soldan, May 6th, 1884
Editor's Notes
Reminds Soldan that we want to shut down the shop as quickly as you finish up. Hurry forward your work "our intention is to shut the Machine Works down absolutely." #Hurry order for some 500 brushes, too. This should not interfere with closing the shop, only 1-2 men needed to finish them# As soon as the shop is closed, boiler will be fixed, and we will have trouble getting power. So, prioritize and push through experiments before closing, especially mica boxes, which need testing before the boiler is out of commission.
