- Shamokin engine was returned very badly rusted, though not broken. Will fix it up and ship to the Globe Democrat, St. Louis. Enclosed is a letter from John Doty of Toronto (mentioned on illegible page of D8422O]. His competitors are badmouthing him but he will put his best efforts into the work and will produce as good engines as we do. Our Mr. Kenyon left last night to start your engines and is under your direction. Send him to Newburg when you are done.
