Santiago Ack no. 22 of 19 June. Disputes a charge “my labor and time spent in saving he Santiago station, and time lost in New York in trying to arrange the matter, are entited to some compensation . . . It is certain that this station would have been instantily closed but for my arrival . . .certain that it will be closed on the day of the expiration of my contract if some new arrangement is not made outside Kendall & Co. . . . a breakdown here would ruin the whole business on this coast for the next ten years … (p2) I leave the matter entirely in our hands.” Requests monthly statements of his account. Requests timely shipment of orders – “filled & billed at cost as in Isolated work . . .”
