- Santiago. TAE marginalia (overwritten) Insull see EHG about isolating Perus I think we have Bolivia already for the Light Co. [blurred] arrange the & cable the word he asks for There will [???] biz done. [Coster?]" Stewart writes -- isolated & village business growing too large; friends want to form a partnership "for the purpose of extending and pushing the business." Will provide fresh capital, and the ability to "keep a small stock of dynamos, engines, figures, &c … always ready for work." Stewart wants his contract extended for ten years, and to include Peru, Bolivia "guaranteeing to push the business on the whole coast." If this can be arranged, TAE should cable the word, "Arranged." Adds -- same parties will invest in machinery and conductors for the Santiago station, so that it may run on a solid basis until times are propitious for forming large company.
