- I inverted the device [illeg] as it stands here ( barring the Bell) two years ago. They have been in common use in ny for 18 months; I took it to england Feby 1883. Bergmann and co. have made and sold some of them. You have them in use in your village plant stations. We do not use the Bell for obvious reasons that it is superflous. Our night light grew out of this device and it is almost identical.
