- Editor's Notes
- Replies to his wrt Y dynamo at Bellefonte. According to tests by Dickson dynamo rated at 1200 rpm, 112 volts, 276 amps, or load of 550 10cp lamps. But in operation finds that dynamo should run at 1400 rpm b/c droop on feeders and mains; need dynamo voltage of 128. "The practical drop of EMF is never considered when testing machines and therefore their proper running speed is always rated too low."
