- Title
- [D8447ZAB], Letter from Archibald B Stuart to Samuel Insull, April 17th, 1884
- Editor's Notes
- Long letter discussing his views on pricing of plants and customers' service, and competition with gas. Gas co's are improving and cheapening service, so that we don't have as much of an advantage anymore, except electric lighting is novel, which Americans lap up. Lamp life needs improved. Questions need to insist on B&W boilers and A&S engines. "You make a most decided monopoly out of this to the disadvantage of your own business."
