- Editor's Notes
- [NEAR THE END OF THE CONST DEPT., THIS DOCUMENT ADDRESSES THE PERENNIAL QUESTIONS OF TAE'S BUSINESS & MANAGERIAL ACUMEN] "Yours of the 1st inst is received. I don not understand how any arrangements between the Edison Electric Light Co and the Construction Department can influence our settlement with you. We have made no contract with the Construction Dept and are in no way interested in its arrangements with the Edison Electric Light Co. But we have a contract with you individually for the construction of our plant in a 'good and workmanlike manner' and if anything is to be done before the central station falls down it must be done at once---we do not like the way we are being trifled with, and we demand a settlement of our accounts and an examination of the condition of our station without any further delay."
