- Editor's Notes
- Williamsport deal cancelled, "and we congratulate ourselves upon having gotten out of the matter so easily. I think they would have stuck us for about $15,000." Tiffin station successfully started. Mt. Carmel to start up "Saturday next" with Hazleton and Bellefonte to follow. Trouble with Bergmann over shipments. Trouble with Tiffin over 2nd payment: "It is not equitable for a company to hold $15,000 of our money simply because $100 worth of material has not been received at a station." Consequently, had Tomlinson rework standard contract: 50% upon signing, 35% when installation ready to supply light, 15% after supplying light for 30 days. Discussion of merits of this type of contract. Discuss Piqua estimate.
