Title
[D8468J], Letter from William W Swan to Thomas Alva Edison, February 11th, 1884
Editor's Notes
Recently in Chicago and found lots of evidence of the early use of your carbon telephone there. Believe that except for private bankers instruments in NY, the "latest form" of your transmitter was used as early in Chicago as in NYC. Newton testfied about Bergmann Book and Bergmann sent it to Holmes and that Mr. Broome sent it to Bergmann ( unable to understand Story); Swan tells TAE to act accordingly.
