[WHAT'S TAE'S FORTHCOMING ARRANGMENT WITH AMERICAN BELL?] Rcvd pat appn for improved elecromagnet, and returned them to Dyer. What's Dyer's role to be---continuing in our employ? "Don't forget that arrangement which you are about to enter into with this company; it is an important question and should be clearly understood." TAE marg: "Gilliland, what are the wishes of the Co in respect to the prosecution of my cases in the Patent Office? I should take Dyer to prepare them but after that the Co could prosecute the appns on Mr Dyer. Pls ask Vail= Dyer is smart."
