Letterhead of E.T. Gilliland. Acknowledge receipt of Edison's letter of "Wednesday." Applied for patent on elevated gate signal. Rcd letter from "Ansonia people"; they requested samples; they are doing well and propose to give an exhibition. They sent passes to prominent electrical men--"can't you send someone to make the trip on the train?"
