Title
[D8503ZAP], Letter from Butler (J.W.) Paper Co to Thomas Alva Edison, May 9th, 1885
Editor's Notes
[Letterhead of J.W. Butler Paper Co.] Reply to TAE's letter of May 7. Confirms that there is a temporary injunction on "us" for using Bancroft machine, so can't supply "Paraffine" paper to customers. Interested to hear from TAE more about the paper he mentioned, see a sample of its quality, and find out what it would cost, what the royalty would be on it, and the expense of running a machine to manufacture it. Also ask about the probability of infringing on any other patent.
