- Title
- [D8503ZAR], Letter from A Dalgleish to Samuel Insull, May 12th, 1885
- Editor's Notes
- [Letterhead of The Edison and Swan United Electric Light Company, Limited. Business card of Mr. A. Dagleish is also included.] Would like to obtain a phonograph, but "so far as I am aware, there is no such a thing to be had in this country." Would like to know whether TAE ever licensed or arranged with anyone to represent him "on this side of the water" concerning the phonograph, and if so, the address of the firm. Two or three times a year, someone comes in and asks about the phonograph, and about once a month someone asks about the Edison pen. "E.L business is fairly good with us here, especially in the lamp line."
