Title
[D8503ZBF], Letter from William Preston Hix to Thomas Alva Edison, June 1885
Editor's Notes
[Letterhead of The Edison Company for Isolated Lighting; portions of two newspaper articles attached to top of letter.] Have an invitation from the Governor of Missouri to go with General Beauregard and spend a few days at the Mansion, but had to decline because I will be in the Kansas Penitentiary on Thursday. "I will get out as I meet the board to light it." Don't forget to write General Beauregard--he returns home at the end of the week. TAE Marg: "Insull ##I have the letter. Will ans[wer] when I get home."
