Title
[D8503ZEB1], Letter from U.S. State Dept. Secretary, Thomas Francis Bayard to Edward Livingston Wilson, December 3rd, 1885
Editor's Notes
[Marked as an attachment to D8503ZEB.] "Learning that a collection of representative American photographs was being gathered by our Secretary of State for presentation to the Sultan of Turkey," I thought a few of the leading exhibitors and the State Commissioners of our Centennial and New Orleans Exhibitions would" want to participate "by adding photographs of their displays at our World's Fairs." If you want to participate, I have your negatives and will make and forward the pictures. I append the prices and sizes made for you; please remit with your order. [Prices for various sizes of pictures listed on side of letter. Note that the heading lists this letter as to Edward Wilson, but it appears to be from Wilson--he signed it.]
