- Editor's Notes
- [Letterhead of University & State of Missouri] We are putting in the Edison light and would like very much if TAE could be present "on the grand occasion of the first illumination of a great University, perhaps in America, certainly the first west of the Mississippi River, with that light." Encosed a circular. It would be a great opportunity to meet a select company of distinguished men in the West. Mr. Bayard, Pres. Cleveland's Sec. of State, will accompany our U.S. Senator west and be present Wednesday and Thursday. Allow me to extend you an invitation to witness.
