- Title
- [D8518S], Letter from American Electric Manufacturing Co, Edwards H Goff to Thomas Alva Edison, December 4th, 1885
- Editor's Notes
- [Letterhead of American Electric Manufacturing Co.] Difficult letter to read. Received your reply to my Portland Telegram regarding gas statistics [see D8518R] saying you will place your library at the disposal of a representative of the company. ##This will introduce Mr. Thomas Greenwood{?} connected with our Company. Please give him all the information you can on the subject and also about the London Gas Co. who has issued Debenture Bonds for various gas plants in the U.K. and made a great success of it. As this has a direct bearing upon my plan of operating, I want them as a sort of [corroborating?] evidence that my plan is sound.
