- Can we not make some arrangement for renewal of the $600.00 note coming due next Monday? It is just possible that by that day we may be able to pay a little of it, but of that I am not sure. I fully expected to take care of this note through the arrangement with the Place Co., but through the neglect or whatever it may be of Mr. Tomlinson, we have had nothing in the shape of an agreement to submit to them. You know I called your attention to this matter over two weeks ago and you said you would see him, which you afterward said you had done, and as the arrangement[?] was to have gone into effect Dec. 1, 3 days hence, you can see now that we may have to put off the matter of connection with them until Jan. 1.
