- Editor's Notes
- I understand that the Paris Cos. have sent a contract for your ratification with the Societe du Phoenix of Belgium. Rau tells me that he had to fight Bailey very hard on this as Bailey wanted them to take the [Weston?]. Our people have spent a large amount of money to manufacture (in order to keep the patent), etc., in Belgium and if they can make a contract that will be beneficial, I think we ought to immediately ratify it. I have not read it, but I suppose they get something for the patents or the rights. If anything is to be done, it ought to be done quickly, and if it is intended not to do it, they ought to know it also quickly. ##What evidence has been sent them about the Canadian patents? Ask Sammy to let me know, as Rau wants me to cable something to him. He can send to Chicago.
