Title
[D8535ZBW], Letter from Compagnie Continentale Edison, Louis Rau to Oscar Othan Siegel, October 16th, 1885
Editor's Notes
[Letter handwritten in French] In reference to the conversation we had this morning, we confirm that TAE has a copy of the agreement which must be made between our company and the German Edison Society; we've been waiting several months for TAE to ratify it and give it back to the representative of the German Society in NY; TAE and the Edison Co. of Europe were parties to the first agreement between the companies, so the German Company won't accept any other procedure; we give to your disposition on the account of the Edison Electric Light Co. of Europe 25 thousand marks on the 50 thousand the German Society will pay you when the Assemblie Generale Extraordinaire ratifies the new agreement; the present letter is to guarantee the payment in question, to which the administrators of the German Society have committed themselves, as soon as TAE and the EELCo. of Europe have ratified the agreement.
