- Editor's Notes
- We confirm our cable of this morning: [quoting cable] "Urge ratify and hand Wallerstein[?] German treatise. Reply." We await your soonest possible answer. [Eaton Marg.:] "We have sent on the 15[?]th of July to the Edison Electric Light co. of Europe a copy of the treaty [-------] with the German Edison Co.. The European Light co. wrote to us on the 28th of July that the ratification would leave NY on the 8[?]th of August, as soon as the German [----] would be translated. It is true that you have cabled to Siegel to ratify in your name, but he has no sufficient power to do so. In the meantime, we gave him a written guarantee for the Mark 25,000 to be paid to the Light Co."
