- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of June 16 came to hand [see Doc No D8541O]. I notice what you state with relation to the young lady that Madam Hix was to introduce me to. I feel terribly broken up at the prospect of her probable capture by someone else, but take consolation in the fact that you state Mrs. Hix has another one in view. If you decide to sample the walking between St. Louis and NY, you may reckon on my meeting you somewhere out on the Jersey Plats, but I should think in these days of cut rates, you migh tmanage to get here by rail if you have to put up collateral to raise the money.
