- [copy, from New York] Proposes to use the Edison machine to separate iron ore from sand. Royalties paid for the exclusive right for the U.S. and Canada would be as follows: $1,000 during the first year; $2,500 during the second; $3,500, the third; $5,000, the fourth and each year thereafter. Payment is to be made within 30 days of each year's end or agreement is null and void. Includes royalty caculations per ton of ore extracted and a proposal for years in which more sand is treated than the agreement includes. Edison Ore Milling is to provide machines within 30 days after order is placed, upon deposit of $400 for each machine. Pending agreement, Bell & Co. will move to acquire "one or more of the good deposits of sand" and within 60 days will begin plant construction or else will cancel agreement.
