- Title
- [D8544S1], Legal Testimony, Thomas Alva Edison, September 16th, 1885
- Editor's Notes
- Typed document signed by Edison stating the history of the development with Sigmund Bergmann of a platina transmitter for telephone use--the subject of a patent application Nov. 19, 1883. Edison claims the idea of a platina transmitter was his but the experiments to develop one were done in close coordination with Bergmann so that it is impossible to discern who did what work precisely. States that much of the experimentation was done after moving in Oct. 1882 to the corner of Seventeenth Street and Avenue B. [Marg.: "I concur in the foregoing statement. S. Bergmann"]
