Title
[D8546ZBG], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Thomas Alva Edison, October 20th, 1885
Editor's Notes
[LETTERHEAD: Rossin House, Toronto] "The induction this morning is very loud. It sounds like the crackling of burning woods, a noise similar to that which is sometimes heard on the telephone only more intensified."; received Pt. Hope's calls but couldn't copy; if coil produced a louder sound, induction would not interfere; will write tonight about this afternoon's work.
