Editor's Notes
Wired last night to report that he had changed the coil and put in a simple primary, afterwhich Port Hope reported phone as loud as any sounders. Put in another coil at Port Hope last night that he is about to test. Port Hope reported that writing was loudest at the beginning of test, which suggests weakening batteries. This did not impair utility of instrument. Will try strengthening the batteries. Will write again tonight.
