Wants TAE's views on anti-induction device for which TAE has an additional certificate to French patent dated 12/19/1877; "Have you made use of this device and have you tested it in a practical manner." Warns Edison that "Marcel Desprez and Cornelius Herz have 'reinvented' this device" and are about to seek a patent in the U.S. [MARG.: "I tried this device once only on a telephone line in which there was tremendous induction from a primary Telegh circuit. Using reverse currents succeeded in nearly stopping the induction & left the telephone business about that time & have never touched it since--E]
