[possibly Dec 1884] TAE's memorandum to Parrish re: TAE's proposal that United Telephone of London pay him a yearly retainer of 2,000 pounds for five years. In return TAE would have British patents for his inventions prepared for United at the same time U.S. patents were prepared; also would send speciman instruments; and keep United informed on practical use of inventions in U.S.; costs of patent preparation to be borne by United; TAE already receives such a retainer from American Bell and also royalties on inventions; devices TAE is now working on are listed.
