- [D8603P], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Samuel Insull, January 16th, 1886
- Editor's Notes
- Only a line to say that I have not received the promised circular letter from TAE. "Please stir him up about it--I depend on you to get it for me." I send you copies of two of the most important letters I am carrying, the copies being my first effort at amateur photography. Not bad letters, are they? Nor bad photographs, either; I flatter myself. ##Nottage Phonograph ##If you send me a letter which I can show to young Nottage authorizing me to claim settlement on your behalf in connection with payment received by him from United Telephone Co., I shall be happy to do what I offered to do and what TAE proposed that I should do, namely, get all I can 'on halves.' I know the facts and he knows that I know them, and he is not likely therefore to make me much difficulty about it.
