- Editor's Notes
- You may remember that when you lived at Menlo Park, I made designs for a house which you thought of building at that time. I also made plans and specifications for Mr. Johnson's house at the same time. The plans for your house were never carried out, but I have always been anxious to have you for a client and I notice your excellent idea in purchasing Mr. Pedder's house at Llewellyn Park and feeling that you may need the services of an architect, I beg to place my name before you for your consideration. ##I am thoroughly familiar with the spot and have built exclusive residences in Orange for some of the best people there. ##I take pleasure in referring to Dr. Wm. Pierson, Dr. Wm. Dutrice, Mr. John Randall, Countess DeMolk, Mr. J.C. Kirtland, etc. I am now engaged in building Mr. John Burgess's house on Munn[?] Ave. to which it gives me special pleasure to refer.
